3-B Smoothie

As summer begins to dwindle down, we are having a small resurgence of berry season here in the North Eastern US. With the influx of blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries, I have been making smoothie packs, and freezing the berries so they are ready to be blended into delicious, healthful, raw, vegan smoothies whenever I want them! This 3-B smoothie, has three letter ‘B’ ingredients as stars of the show. Blueberries, Brazil nuts, and bananas shine in this combination, but not without a healthy dose of greens and a few other special ingredients. Enjoy this smoothie on your deck and patio, basking in a couple more warm days before autumn is upon us.

*Place all of the ingredients, in the order they are listed below, into a blender and blend until desired consistency. To make this into a smoothie pack, combine all ingredients, except for the nut milk, into a plastic baggie, and freeze. When you are ready to make the smoothie, remove the baggie from the freezer and blend with the 2 cups of nut milk. If you do not have a high-powered blender, the smoothie pack may need to defrost slightly before blending.
